Fantastic Four: First Steps Blu-ray Reveals Deleted Scenes and More Mole-Man Action

The deleted scenes from Fantastic Four: First Steps on its upcoming Blu-ray release have been unveiled, providing fans with more Mole-Man content they’ve been eager to see.

Box Office Success and Future Marvel Films Fantastic Four: First Steps was Marvel’s top-grossing film of the year, with a remarkable $519 million worldwide gross, surpassing Thunderbolts ($382 million) and Captain America: Brave New World ($415 million). The Marvel First Family is slated to return in Avengers: Doomsday in 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027.

Blu-ray Release Details and Featured Content Set for release on October 14, the film will be available in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats. Entertainment Weekly has revealed that the special features include several deleted scenes:

• Fantastic Four Day
• Subterranea
• Birthday Sweater
• Taking Turns

Of particular interest is the Subterranea scene, which is home to Mole Man (played by Paul Walter Hauser). Given the character’s limited appearance in the theatrical cut, this additional footage is highly anticipated.

What to Expect from the Deleted 'Subterranea' Scene The scene might showcase the underground realm and Mole Man’s community or depict events when above-ground characters venture into Subterranea. Writer Eric Pearson shared insights into another lost Mole Man scene involving Sue Storm:

> “There was another scene with Sue where she goes down and talks to him about diplomacy, which was super fun and super funny.”

Pearson also humorously mentioned a potential scene where Mole Man interacts with the Baxter Building:

> “I wanted him touching every device like Baby Huey in Who Framed Roger Rabbit — just going around messing with everything.”

Release Timeline The digital release will precede physical copies, dropping on September 23, 2025, with physical formats arriving on October 14.
