The risk of flaming sugar underscores the importance of discontinuing use of the recalled cotton candy maker. According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC), Wuensche USA has issued a recall for its Ambiano Cotton Candy Makers due to safety concerns. The device's heating element can ignite the sugar if users operate the machine without the proper sugar receptacle, creating a significant fire risk.

There have been 12 reported incidents involving sparks and fires linked to the product, though luckily, no injuries have been reported. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled cotton candy maker immediately and follow proper disposal procedures.
