Bloomberg reports that Apple is developing OLED versions for the iPad mini, iPad Air, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air, expanding on the OLED used in the iPad Pro. The company’s plan envisions OLED across multiple devices in the months and years ahead, with some timing details contingent on the product.

The iPad Pro already uses OLED, and Apple does not currently plan to bring OLED to the low-cost iPad line.

Bottom line: Apple’s OLED strategy appears to target a broader OLED rollout across iPads (including iPad mini and iPad Air eventually) and the MacBook line, while the budget iPad remains on LCD for the foreseeable future.
