Saturday Night Live UK: Here’s the Cast and Premiere Details
February 4, 2026
The UK’s first-ever Saturday Night Live edition is unveiling its cast ahead of a March debut, as Sky brings the NBC staple to British screens.
- The line-up for the inaugural season includes 11 comedians: Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi, and Paddy Young.
What to expect from SNL UK
- Sky describes the new UK version as a live, weekly caper that preserves the show’s signature high-energy, high-wire feel, while reimagining it with a distinctly British sensibility.
- Each episode will feature a different guest host, a chart-topping musical guest, sketches written, rehearsed, and performed during the week, a live studio audience, an opening monologue, topical sketches, live music, and a UK-flavored Weekend Update.
Connections to Taskmaster
- Two participants from Taskmaster appear in SNL UK: Ania Magliano and Emma Sidi. Ania (from Taskmaster Series 20) and Emma (from Series 18) bring their stand-up and character-comedy experience to the new format.
- Ania has said she’s drawn to the collaborative energy of SNL UK and the chance to perform on a global stage. Emma notes she loves character comedy and sees SNL UK as a great vehicle to revive a certain brand of UK humor on TV.
When and where to watch
- SNL UK is set to premiere on Sky and Now in the United Kingdom on March 21, 2026.
- The first season will run six episodes, with each installment opening with the iconic line: “Live from London, it’s Saturday night!”
- Writers for the show have not yet been announced, and there’s no word yet on US broadcast plans or timing.
