Plot and setup The story unfolds in a distant future where humanity has begun colonizing other worlds. Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) is determined to prove himself to his clan by taking on an apex predator on the galaxy’s most perilous terrain, Genna. Along the way, he encounters a synthetic android named Thia (Elle Fanning) and reluctantly teams up with her to navigate the treacherous landscape. Thia’s Weyland-Yutani roots tie the film to the broader Alien universe, creating a natural crossover thread for fans.

Disney+ release window Predator: Badlands will land on Disney+ on February 12, 2026. Disney confirmed the date, following the studio’s usual theatrical-to-streaming strategy, which typically yields a three- to four-month gap before streaming release. By way of reference, The Fantastic Four: First Steps hit theaters in July 2025 and arrived on Disney+ in November 2025. There are exceptions, of course; for instance, Avatar: The Way of Water waited longer than six months to join Disney+, as it continued to generate strong box-office revenue.

How to watch in the meantime Since Predator: Badlands is no longer playing in theaters, you won’t be catching it on the big screen soon. If you’re eager to watch early, the sequel is available to purchase on Prime Video for a discounted $9.99 (usually $29.99). For physical media fans, Predator: Badlands will be released on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on February 17, 2026.
