Apple and Formula 1 Strike Five-Year Exclusive Deal Bringing All U.S. Races to Apple TV
Apple and Formula 1 have unveiled a five-year partnership that will place every F1 race exclusively on Apple TV in the United States, starting next season. The deal covers full race weekend coverage—practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions, and the Grands Prix. Some races and all practice sessions will also be accessible for free within the Apple TV app over the course of the season.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, said the collaboration will give Apple TV subscribers in the U.S. front-row access to one of the fastest-growing sports globally. He noted that 2026 is ushering in a period of big changes for F1, with new teams, regulations, and cars, and expressed anticipation for delivering premium, fan-centric coverage that only Apple can provide.
Apple also outlined plans to extend the coverage across its platforms, including Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple Fitness+. The Apple Sports app will feature live updates for every qualifying, Sprint, and race across every Grand Prix season, along with real-time leaderboards, current standings for drivers and constructors, Live Activities, and widgets.
This partnership builds on Apple’s existing involvement with Formula 1, highlighted by the success of Apple Original Films’ blockbuster “F1: The Movie,” which Apple says is the highest-grossing sports film of all time. Apple indicated that further details on production, feature enhancements, and new ways to enjoy F1 content across Apple products will be announced in the coming months.
