Angie Camacho says she begged to be cut from Louis Theroux's Inside the Manosphere
Angie Camacho, who was dating Myron Gaines (also known as Amrou Foudl), says she never intended to be part of Louis Theroux’s Inside the Manosphere and tried repeatedly to have her footage removed. The Netflix documentary features Theroux interviewing Red Pill influencers, including Gaines, about their controversial views and the content they produce for young men online. Gaines drew significant criticism during the film for talking about wanting multiple wives in the future, while Camacho looked uncomfortable when Theroux pressed him about a potential one-sided monogamy.
A later title card in the program indicated that Camacho and Gaines had since split up. In a social post, Camacho revealed she had asked the production team to exclude her from the film, but those efforts did not succeed.
Camacho told followers on TikTok that she “never wanted” to be part of Theroux’s project. She explained she wasn’t informed when the camera crew came to Gaines’s podcast studio and apartment, and that she signed paperwork without reading the contract. She recalled emailing the producers thousands of times to request removal, but to no avail. Despite the situation, she also credited Theroux with prompting her to reassess her relationship and her lifestyle with Gaines.
Camacho says she’s now in a healthier relationship. She described meeting a new partner who treats her with care and makes her feel valued, allowing her to envision a future with someone who shares her happiness.
Gaines’s response to the fallout Gaines has engaged with online critics who mocked how he was portrayed in the documentary. When a commenter suggested Camacho left because she disliked their one-way polyamorous arrangement, Gaines replied that she left because she wanted a family, telling the commenter to “do your research.” The remark drew further online backlash directed at Gaines over the airing of private relationship dynamics.
