Robert Pattinson Dismisses “Team Jacob” as Marketing Gimmick During Paris Junket
The Twilight era may be over in theatres, but the questions about the beloved saga still follow Robert Pattinson. Seventeen years after the first movie burst onto screens, Pattinson was once again asked to weigh in on the infamous love triangle that defined the franchise: Bella, Edward, and Jacob.
During a Paris press stop for his new film The Drama, Pattinson’s co-star Zendaya faced a reporter who pressed her on which faction she’d pick—Team Edward or Team Jacob. Zendaya didn’t hesitate: “I’m Team Edward, all day,” she declared, prompting Pattinson to grin and wink.
The journalist then turned to Pattinson with the same inquiry. He answered with a playful dig: “No one’s Team Jacob! That was a marketing thing.” Zendaya teased him back, hinting that everyone knows where his heart lies, and Pattinson reacted with a mix of disbelief and humor, exclaiming, “What? That’s crazy!”
The interview also touched on the prospect of a Twilight revival, something Pattinson called “crazy” and “weird.” While talk of remakes, spinoffs, and even a TV series has persisted for years, nothing has materialized yet.
As for The Drama, it hits cinemas worldwide next month, with a global release scheduled for April 3. For film fans looking ahead, there’s plenty more on the way in 2026, as highlighted in the latest movie release guides.
