Eugene Mirman Hospitalized After Fiery Car Crash in New Hampshire
Comedian and voice actor Eugene Mirman, best known for voicing Gene Belcher on Bob’s Burgers, has been hospitalized after a car crash that reportedly left the vehicle burning. The 51-year-old actor was reportedly pulled from the engulfed car on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, and transported by ambulance with “serious injuries” that have not yet been disclosed.
The incident occurred as Mirman was driving a 2026 Lucid Gravity into the Bedford Toll Plaza in New Hampshire, causing the car to ignite while he remained inside. Several witnesses, including a veteran state trooper assigned to the governor’s security detail, shouted to others and then helped remove him through a vehicle window.
Mirman’s representatives have not commented on his condition, and the crash remains under investigation as he recuperates in hospital. Col. Mark B. Hall thanked the bystanders for their courage, noting that they acted without hesitation to aid someone in need.
Mirman has voiced Gene Belcher since Bob’s Burgers began in 2011, a run that has extended to more than 300 episodes and a feature film. The animated series remains popular, with a new season currently airing through May 17, 2026. The Russian-American comedian is also known for his work on Flight of the Conchords and various stand-up projects.
TMZ was among the first outlets to report on the fiery crash; however, details about Mirman’s injuries remain unclear at this time. Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
