Posted Apr 15, 2026 at 8:19 PM UTC — It appears the House will not decide today on renewing Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, even as the program’s April 20 expiration looms.

The plan had been to hold a procedural vote to extend the surveillance authority, but Speaker Mike Johnson once again delayed the debate.

While a late afternoon session could still be scheduled, most observers consider a vote today unlikely. Stay tuned for updates.
